The Black Wedding Dress
It’s wedding show season in Paris, and one of the more surprising trends for 2008 is the black wedding dress. From well-known couturiers like Max Chaoul to more moderately priced dress labels like Creations Bochet, when it comes to choosing a wedding dress in France, black seems to be the new white. Cymbeline Paris has gone so far as to have 4 different black dresses in their 2008 collection! As most U.S. metropolises seem to look to Paris for their fashion inspiration, I’d be interested to hear what American brides think about this “tendance“: Oui or Non, will the black wedding dress be the next trend to walk down American aisles?

The second from the top wedding dress... done in palest pink ticked in black is not from Paris, but instead was a handmade dress done here in the US by the bride herself. She loved all things goth...and designed the wedding itself around that theme, years before 2008. Maybe your parisian designers got their inspiration from the US, hmm? And the wedding blog that showcases the wedding picture you show here.
I guess all Spanish brides have bad luck then :P To my recollection, it is tradition in Spain to wear a black wedding dress. I would like to wear black for my wedding(Feb. 2010), but I don't want to somehow offend my guests. So I will go with navy blue, since I love it anyway. I just don't see myself doing white. I'm already a big girl and white shows all my flaws! :P
Any one no where to buy the 1st black dress. The one where she has a purple boquet and with her husband. Please help
